Coastal pickups, Lao Bao immigration, and 90-day Vietnam E-Visa support explained.
Timeline
Expect roughly 13 hours door-to-door. We depart Hue between 04:00–05:30, run QL1A north past Hue City and Lang Co before following QL9 through the DMZ, clear Lao Bao late morning, grab lunch in Dong Ha, and return to Hue/Phu Bai by evening.
Hue City (Citadel, Phu Hoi, Thuan An), Phu Bai Airport hotels, Lang Co, Lap An Lagoon, and Bach Ma foothills. We can also meet you along QL1 if you’re coming from Da Nang.
Private car, bilingual driver, fuel, DMZ tolls, Quang Tri fixers, snacks, water, cold towels, and WhatsApp updates. Laos VOA fees and Vietnam E-Visa costs are separate.
Immigration
Yes. Our fixer handles the Laos VOA form, collects the USD fee, and escorts you between the Vietnamese and Lao counters. Visa-exempt nationalities still follow them to ensure stamps are in the right order.
Passport valid 6+ months, current Vietnamese visa/TRC or e-Visa, two spare 4×6 photos, onward ticket (if required), and proof of accommodation if you plan to stay near Hue afterward. We send a checklist 48 hours before departure.
Upload your passport and portrait before we roll. As soon as Lao Bao stamps your exit, we submit the Standard, Fast, or Rush E-Visa and keep you updated via WhatsApp/email until the approval PDF arrives.
Payments & policies
Private cars: pay cash (VND/USD) or bank transfer when you arrive back in Hue. E-Visa/push fees can be paid via Wise/Revolut.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Same-day cancellations incur 50% to cover the driver/fixer.
